Ms. Dorey has a Master of Science in Creativity, Leadership and Innovation from the International Center for Studies in Creativity at Buffalo State College in Buffalo, NY. She is credentialed as an Executive Coach through the Center for Educational Leadership at the University of Manchester, England; and is certified to administer the EQi 2.0/EQ360 emotional intelligence and FourSight® creative thinking psychometric measures. She is a Self-Protection Advocate and Instructor who trains targeted group populations under her company The Chain of Defense™ headquartered in Amsterdam, NY. Ms. Dorey currently conducts Empirical research with violent crime and human trafficking survivors through her groundbreaking, bold initiative The Dorey Method Strategy/Impact Study. The Dorey Method is an integrative, unique approach (in the form of a one-year intensive training course) that creates and sustains an individual’s capacity to become and continually evolve into an emotionally, intellectually, socially, spiritually and physically healthy person through nine infield-tested methodologies. The Dorey Method specializes in restoring an individual’s well-being from years of trauma, abuses and violence founded on the core fundamental principle of The Affirmative Environment. The safe, positive atmosphere within The Affirmative Environment allows individuals the opportunity to excel and fail forward, which promotes personal growth and learning while healing. Ms. Dorey also conducts Creative Mentoring Leadership courses that facilitate women in leadership roles within their communities and works as a Creative Leadership Facilitator and Speaker. Additionally, she has developed targeted programs for young adults to reduce bullying and teen suicides; for college students to decrease on-campus violence; for the corporate sector with non-physical workplace seminars; as well as Exit and Transcendence Strategies for individuals who have experienced physical, emotional, financial, physical-intent abuse. Her greatest joy is being the mother of two very creative young ladies, being married to the love of her life, and enjoying the quiet of country living.
